Presented as part of the 'Communication Mods' exhibition at York Quay Gallery, Harbourfront Centre, 'WhereTheHeartIs' is a cameraphone-based installation created specifically for the artists home city of Toronto. During the installation period the gallery audience was asked to use their cameraphones to contribute iconic images of Toronto - people, places and things - to a screen in the gallery. These images were then instantly sent to small screen which the artist wore over his heart. During the two-month exhibition, this installation created a direct link between the artist and his home city, regardless of location. In addition to the Toronto exhibition, the 'HeartScreen' was showcased in the Future Fashion Event in Pisa, Italy. Mark Argo, 2006.
